EDAA for Internet Users
Welcome to Your Online Choices. This portal provides information about the functioning of personalised digital advertising, and tools to express your advertising preferences. By interacting with the “On / Off” functionality, you can inform specific companies of whether you want or don’t want them to use your personal data to show you personalised ads. Choosing “On” means that you’re okay with seeing personalised ads. Choosing “Off” means that you prefer to see general, non-personalised ads; it doesn’t prevent ads from being displayed to you online, but it allows you to have more control over the type of ads that you do see.
When you interact with the “On / Off” functionality, many of the companies listed will use a small text file known as a “cookie” to check your current status and apply the choice you wish to exercise. This cookie is saved on your browser or device, and it allows the portal to “remember” your “On / Off” choice.
If you do not wish the companies listed to store any cookies on your browser or device, visit our five top tips to learn how to manage cookies in your browser privacy settings. Please be aware that any settings that prevent the creation of third-party cookies will also prevent the “On / Off” functionality from working correctly.
